After a fun filled day on Lake Michigan with Reel Crazy2 Charters, take your catch home to the family and cook for them as your wife puts the rest of your catch in the freezer.

Grilled Salmon Fillets

Prepare your fillets to be ready to grill wash.  Pat dry, put on greased foil sheet.  Season with lemon pepper and salt, a little garlic powder and onion powder. Sprinkle with dill weed if you like (your choice of flavor: you can’t ruin a good fresh piece of Salmon or Trout out of Lake Michigan waters).  Add a little lemon slice with some juice of the lemon add slivers of butter to the top and you're ready for the grill.  (A small secret: Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip is excellent in place of the butter.) Grill about 8-12 minutes (depends on thickness of the fillets) on an already medium warm grill.   Do not over cook.  Keep a good eye on it when it flakes:  It's done!  Serve with a rice dish or potatoes of your choice. Make sure your extra dishes are ready before you grill your catch.
Happy eating!
